YOUR COUNSELING COMPASS CURRICULUM
What does research-informed mean?
We regularly read peer-reviewed journal articles to identify what practices the research has deemed effective when it comes to social emotional learning, behavioral intervention, and children’s mental health. These research findings are incorporated into our curriculum to ensure the most effective activities and lessons possible.
This looks like including components such as:
-
Cognitive behavioral focus
-
Peer collaboration
-
Skill-specific objectives
-
Competency building
-
Self-reflection
If you’re curious about specific studies and articles that have informed our resources, please contact us for a reference list.
COUNSELORÂ CONFIDENCE
The Role of Self-Efficacy
Research shows that school counselors with higher self-efficacy, counselors who believe in their ability to be effective... are more effective! They get more done and provide more interventions. In addition, low self-efficacy is predictive of higher rates of burnout.
Our program promotes self-efficacy by providing counselors with the trainings and tools they need so that their ability to overcome difficulties and succeed in their role increases.Â

Schools and Districts
We are proud to partner with schools and districts of all sizes to get elementary counselors the support they need.
